Why Hysterical?
​
The word “hysterical” has been used to describe people voicing concerns about their safety in the context of the overturning of Roe vs Wade. The word was historically attributed to the idea that a woman’s uterus caused her to behave irrationally. So “hysterical” seemed like a fitting choice for a movement centered on reproductive rights. We are taking back the word hysterical and using it to fight for positive change.
